Description

A Renewable Energy client is looking for a Consultant to work as a FES/FAS Site Technician on itsr offshore wind farm project. The FES/FAS Site Technician will be required to perform day-today supervision of electrical installations, to ensure quality and progress, to control that tests are carried out and documented and to ensure a safe work environment. Our client is looking for the Site Technician to be able to start this 25 month role from approximately 1st May 2016 until approx. 31st May 2018 with the possibility of extending. Onshore the Site Technician will be based in Europe up until June 2016, 5 days per week, 10 hours per day on average. From June the role will then be offshore with a work pattern of 14 on 14 off duty, 12 hours in average with the possibility of night shifts
Responsibilities:
  • Ensure planning, implementation and document of the commissioning process in the assignment technical area
  • Day-to-day management and participate in toolbox meetings, co-ordination and documentation of the commissioning work within the defined technical area
  • Ensure that commissioning within the defined technical area is executed effectively and on time
  • Ensure that the work is in compliance with the project HSE rule and local legislation
  • Ensure that tests are carried out and that commissioning work is documented (ITP) according to rules, procedures and templates
  • Contribute to proactive management, good co-ordination and communication between all parties and communication between all parties and that the process works effectively
  • Any other activities, as directed by the commissioning manager
  • Report to O&M facilities Construction Manager in all matters re O & M Facilities
Qualification: 
  • 3 years experience required, commissioning and installation/construction experience within the field MV/HV equipment, SCADA, Low Voltage, protection and utility installation and components
  • Experience with working onshore and offshore substation work
  • High knowledge of FES/FAS systems
  • High knowledge of mechanical installation on various systems
  • Knowledge of installation techniques within all electrical areas
  • Commissioning Engineer or skilled electrician
Certifications: GWO
  • Sea farers offshore Medical
  • One day first aid course
  • Firefighting course
  • Sea Survival and transfer training
Special Provision:
The Consultant must bring his/her own PC with Microsoft Office 2007 software of newer, and mobile telephone.
Onshore and offshore works:
The consultant will required to bring his/her own PPE equipment
