Description
The enterprise architect will also be required to work as part of the enterprise architecture team to support activities including architecture assessments of new projects and initiatives, architecture governance of in-flight projects and contribution to strategic roadmaps.
Requirements and Deliverables
The enterprise architect will report to the Deputy Director - Enterprise Architecture and IT Strategy for the duration of the assignment.
The following specific architecture deliverables are required for the delivery of the cloud strategy and enterprise architecture:
. A target enterprise architecture for cloud.
. A roadmap for the delivery of the target architecture, detailing current state architecture, transitional steps and benefits realised
. Assessment of cloud technology and trends
. Assessment of main vendors and roadmaps
In addition to the cloud strategy, as specified above the enterprise architect will also be required to assist with other Enterprise Architecture activities including:
. Technical Impact Assessments of new projects
. Architecture Governance of in-flight projects
. Contributing towards the development of strategic roadmaps
Experience and Profile
The enterprise architect will have the following experience:
. Significant experience of working within an IT service at a senior architecture level in a large, and complex organisational environment.
. Significant experience in the delivery of end to end enterprise architectures for major IT and infrastructure projects, including system procurement, data center and cloud.
. Significant experience and knowledge of infrastructure and cloud including SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, Hybrid Cloud, Private Cloud, Public Cloud, Microsoft Azure, AWS
. Experience of working in a recognised architecture framework eg TOGAF
. A good communicator with exceptional inter-personal skills.
. The ability to use creativity and innovation to solve complex problems.
. Good communication skills. The ability to describe complex technical solutions to technical and non-technical audiences.
. Good experience of effecting change through use of negotiating skills.
. Good interpersonal skills, including the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with a range of internal and external partners.
