Description
We're a digital agency based on the east coast that's looking for an experienced WordPress dev to help us make the transition from MODx CMS to a WordPress shop. We have several new site projects secured, all of which we'd like to build in WP. Accordingly, the right candidate can anticipate on-going work with us.Remote is fine, but we prefer that you are a native English speaker that resides in North America. We are looking for a developer who is a full-time freelancer (meaning, you are accessible during normal business hours and are not working on our projects at night or as a side-project to a full-time job).
We're not looking for a designer; we have a creative director that handles that. What we need is an experienced dev with the following skill set:
- A strong understanding of PHP
- Well-versed in all things WordPress (we'll need help selecting the proper plugins for a given function)
- A fundamental (if not strong) understanding of how to secure a WP site (one of the reasons we've waited so long to adopt WP is the vulnerabilities that the platform and plugins allow).
