Devops, Linux, Git, Jenkins, Chef, Tomcat, MySql, Agile, Cloud infrastructureI am seeking a Senior Devops to help my client build and and fully utilise a new Devops culture on a huge greenfield project in their Manchester City center office.
THE ROLE:
- Implement Devops technology and processes across both production environments on virtual and cloud infrastructure
- Act as a subject matter expert on at least one application with the scope of the team.
- Work collaboratively with all delivery teams to define operational requirements and design operational development to successfully transition changes into production.
- Create automated monitoring and alerting processes to proactively predict and prevent incidents
- Continuously review operational activates and automate where ever possible.
TECH STACK/ SKILLS:
- Experience creating and working with development pipelines using tools such as Git, Jenkins, TFS, Sonarqube, GoCD, Maven, Ant
- Strong Chef or Ansible skills
- Extensive knowledge supporting complex muti-tiered business critical systems.
- System administration on Linux, Nginx, Tomcat, DNS, MySql,
- Docker containerisation and microservices
- IaaS and PaaS - AWS, Openstack, Cloudfoundr
- Any programming and scripting in Ruby, Python, Perl, Go

Rate: £450 - £500 a day
Length: 6 months (strong extension rates)
