Software engineering, Embedded, Management, AerospaceI am currently looking for an interim software manager to work for a key client of Computer Futures on a brand new project. You will be tasked with the management of COE design related on a daily basis through the entire product life cycle. On a technical front you will need to have Aerospace experience working to DO-178b experience.

Rate: £450 - £550 p/d
Requirement
- BS or equivalent Engineering degree from an accredited college or university.
- Working knowledge of Software development in accordance with RTCA/Do-178B/C.
- 3-5 years management /leadership experience with demonstrated ability to lead a group of engineers, or large projects across the total product life cycle. (R&T, NPI, Production, In-service).
- Recognized experience/expertise on at least one domain of the representative COE function.
- Project Management Experience - ability to manage internal /external (Customers/Supplier) interfaces.
- Strong emotional intelligence and ability to motivate others.
- Excellent planning, organizational, analytical, leadership, interpersonal, decision-making, problem-solving, oral and written communication skills.
- Experience and proficient at working across functions within the organization.
- Candidate must have CI /Lean experience with a passion /proven track record for making process improvements with measurable results e.g. Kaizen, Process FMEA, 6-Sigma
- MBA or equivalent degree in Engineering Management - preferred
- Registration as a Chartered Engineer (UK) or Professional Engineer (US) - preferred
- Policy Deployment / strategy development experience - preferred
- Experience in working in a multi-cultural / diverse organization - preferred
- Change management facilitator - preferred
