Systems Consultant (Sun Systems 6.2)

3 month contract
Up to £350 per day
To provide project support for the high performance delivery of IT projects around Infor SunSystem (ideally finance). Requirements Gathering using Agile methodologies, liaising with various Tech/Change and Business Stakeholders in understanding their user stories and later prioritising them with the Business and creating/agreeing the epics. Lead the analysis and bridge the gap between Tech and Business.
Delivery of Change (85%)
Strong Infor SunSystems experience.
Strong Business Process/Business Acumen
Solid Business Analyst background and understanding
Stakeholder Management experience
Some Testing experience
Commercially driven
Responsibilities:
Gather, document and review detailed requirements from the project/locations for all aspects of the assigned projects.
Challenge, assess and prioritise requirements in line with customer expectations, business benefits and delivery complexity
Analyse and recommend solution options to support approved requirements
Provide expertise, support and guidance to project team members, from both a technical and business perspective
Maintain high quality documentation for all project outcomes, including approved requirements, traceability matrices and meeting/workshop minutes
Clearly and concisely documenting agreed requirements using the most appropriate format for the project, ie use cases, user stories etc.
Participate in all changes/problems/documentation relating to the supported applications
Provide support to the Business in the resolution of any problems, any other appropriate duties as required by line manager
Acting as the conduit between business stakeholders and the technical team
Required Experience:
Strong business analysis skills, with recent experience of Infor SunSystems version 6.2
Data migration exposure
Experience across IT Systems, application development and business change deliveries
Knowledge of User Acceptance Testing and other testing fields
The ideal candidate will be focused on understanding business change needs, assessing the impact of those changes, capturing, analysing and documenting requirements and then supporting the communication and delivery of those requirements with relevant parties.
Undertaking critical evaluation and evolution of business ideas - the ability to facilitate the delivery of business propositions
Ensuring that stakeholders are appropriately engaged throughout the project life cycle
Facilitating developer and tester understanding of business requirements
Working with the development team, other analysts and business stakeholder to derive technical/functional requirements, maintaining traceability with original business requirements
Assisting with the prioritisation of requirements and the scheduling of their delivery, ensuring that these are aligned to the needs of the business
Processing modelling and business design work, including identification of operational and organisational impacts
Identifying high-level training and communication needs, including the creation of documentation to support training activities
Adjusting analysis techniques to fit both Waterfall and Agile (particularly Scrum) development methodologies
Understanding of IPOS, Version 1, Collect (Advantageous)
