Description
My client, a leading technology company provides infrastructure solutions to their customers as and when needed is looking for a Network Solutions Architect. Their offices are based in London but they have an engagement based in Paris , France whereby they would send a Technical Specialist (ie you) to integrate their converged infrastructure solution.
Where necessary candidates would also need to be open to doing an unpaid shadowing training for 4-5 days before the engagement, where you would shadow one of the architects to get yourself "customer ready" to work on end customer site.
In the role, you will be:
Cisco Nexus 5000 series switch configuration and integration into customer networks
Cisco VPC
Cisco Nexus 1000v implementation, configuration and troubleshooting
Cisco UCS architecture, configuration and troubleshooting
VMware networking with 1000v, Configuration of Catalyst 3750 and Cisco UCS B&C series Servers
Additional Responsibilities:
* Gather requirements and be responsible for the delivery of the technical design, strategies and plans that integrate with the converged infrastructure solution platform
* Recommend and implement changes to improve performance and optimisation of virtual machines and storage
* Documentation and knowledge transfer to local IT staff
The role would have a very quick turnaround time and would be a 2 stage telephone interview.
