Description
CCAB Accountant - Slough, Berkshire (preferably CIPFA level 1)
Accountant with experience of Agresso finance or similar financial database, reconciling, knowledge of Imprest accounts, payment to schools, managing grant returns and experience of working with complex spreadsheets. Knowledge of schools finance is desirable but not essential. AAT qualified desirable.

- Experience of making payments ideally to Schools and Academies
- Knowledge of Grant monitoring.
- General finance experience including Journal
- Experience of working within Local government Finance for a minimum of 2 years
- Accounting experience in budget preparation, monitoring, service recharging and closure of accounts.
- Experience of managing accountancy projects undertaking complex tasks with the ability to work independently.
- Knowledge and understanding of accounting principles, standards and practices relevant to task associated with the job.
- A knowledge of computerised financial systems and spreadsheets
- Budget preparation, monitoring and recharging systems
- An understanding and commitment to the Councils Equal Opportunity Policy
- Knowledge of CIPFA Local Authority accounting conventions and Codes of Practice
- Organise own workload around priorities and timescales.
- Solve problems analytically
