We’re looking for an experienced customer-facing engineer who loves helping people, solving problems, and wants to be a major factor in the success of our customers. This is a perfect position for someone who is comfortable participating in high level strategic discussions with executives, getting their hands dirty with code, tailing logs, and explaining complicated technical topics to both engineers and non-technical customers.
Your day-to-day will be working with customers and the Whiplash engineering team. You’ll be working with our biggest accounts so taking the time to understand their use case and find a perfect solution is paramount to their success. 30% of your time will be spent talking to customers referred to you by our general support desk, and 70% will be spent resolving those issues– either through improved backend code, UX, or documentation.

Responsibilities:
- Help customers architect the Whiplash API into their eCommerce stack
- Be the go-to technical expert for our Support team
- Work closely with the product team to improve customer success across our entire platform
- Become an expert on the code base and functionality of the Whiplash platform, libraries, and integrations.
Requirements:
- 2+ years Ruby, preferably with Rails
- Comfortable, easy going, professional mannerism
- Basic understanding of SQL, mad query-writing skills is a huge plus
