PLC Commissioning Manager - Siemens S7
Our client, a leading global automation and baggage organisation, are looking to employ a PLC Commissioning Manager to run a team of PLC Controls and Automation Engineers at Gatwick Airport. You will be working on the latest Siemens S7 PLC's.
This role is an immediate start and will be offered on a long-term contract basis.
Our client is involved in the full life cycle of baggage handling systems at both Gatwick and Heathrow Airports as well significant warehouse, parcel and postal projects. As the PLC Commissioning Manager you will be responsible to work closely with Project Managers, Design Engineers, the end Client as well as other suppliers in the commissioning, modification, handover and site support of the PLC baggage systems. You will need to be an expert in Siemens S7 and WinCC. Obviously the ideal candidate would have worked at either Heathrow or Gatwick on Siemens S7 baggage systems - other industries such as FMCG, food, automotive and pharmaceutical will be considered.
Skills & Experience
- Automation experience from environments such as manufacturing, baggage, warehouse, automotive, packaging, mail sorting, water treatment or process engineering
- Worked within the field of controls engineering for approximately 5 years minimum
- Experience within Design, Installation, Commissioning, Programming and Support
- PLC Controls experience with Siemens S7 and WinCC
- Great written and verbal communication with both internal and external clients and customers
