React Engineer working remotely

Description

Happytables is looking to bring on a Front-end/React Engineer. It’s a new technology, so we don’t expect years of experience, but we want someone who has built to production a React application. This could be a small piece of a larger application, a side project, or a giant application. The Happytables team is completely remote, so you should be comfortable working from anywhere you want.

Happytables empowers restaurant operators by identifying opportunities and taking smarter data-driven actions. The team consists of experienced entrepreneurs, restaurateurs and data engineers. This is an early hire, so we want someone who wants to help shape the engineering culture while also building a product that users want to use.

Requirements

Comfortable communicating in English. We do have native French speakers and polyglots on the team, English as a first language isn’t a requirement.

Experience with React. You’ve built something to production with it.

Willingness to travel for in-person meetings a few times a year.

Front end styling experience (Currently using Sass, but open to change)

Nice to have

Comfortable coding in PHP

Experience with D3, React Router and Redux

Basic statistics knowledge

An eye for design & microinteractions

Enjoys learning, sharing, and teaching
