Security Consultant (Splunk) - Manchester

Role - Security Consultant (Splunk)

Location - Manchester

You will support an ongoing project to roll out a new security technology across a large financial sector customer.

  • 3 Month Contract - Manchester - Start ASAP- Will wait 3-4 weeks for right candidate
  • On board log data from this technology, integrate into existing reporting, create new reporting and dashboards in Splunk.
  • 200 Servers within their Infrastructure
  • The role will be replacing old reports/dashboards that use data drawn from Legacy datasources (anti-virus and device control) with equivalent reports that access data from a new source (McAfee ePO). This will require a deconstruction of existing reports/dashboards and reconstruction with new reasonably complex searches.
  • Data source on boarding into Splunk has already been undertaken but validation is probably required.
  • The migration should support a transition where reports will consolidate data from both Legacy and new datasources as the migration progresses.

  • Experience of creating Dashboards and Reports necessary.

  • Good experience of creating dashboards that provide health monitoring in Splunk.

  • Work with the new project team to implement application help dashboards

  • Require someone who is hot on SPL splunk language and has an understanding of networks and reporting.
