Description
Summary- Individual will participate in the development, maintenance, support and enhancement of IT systems and applications in support of our Gas and Electric Distribution Operations
- Possible assignments include some or all of the following: plan, design, develop, test, coordinate, implement, maintain and administer computer based systems and applications
- Analyze business/technical and related issues to formulate and develop or purchase new and/or modified computer programs/systems
- Create revisions to existing programs, systems and procedures and use appropriate tools to troubleshoot and correct deficiencies; and/or, reconcile user requirements with existing and/or projected computer capacity, capabilities and performance.
Qualifications
- Experience in Real Time operations systems support in the gas and electric Utility industry is desired.
- Experience with distributed technologies, relational databases and knowledge of infrastructure technology (Servers, workstations, IT security, etc.,) is preferred.
- Experience with SCADA Systems for gas and electric, Linux and Windows administration; TCP/IP network and basic SQL query skills is a plus.
- In addition to exceptional analytical skills, the successful candidate must demonstrate strong customer focus, team membership skills and oral/written communications skills.
- A proven track record of producing quality products to predetermined standards and specifications plus a desire to learn and apply new skills are required.
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related discipline or the equivalent technical training and work experience and a minimum of 2 years of related experience for the level 2 position OR 5 years related experience is required for the level 3 position; a Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related discipline and at least 8 years related experience is required for the level 4 position.
- Experience with Siemens DSCADA, Schneider ClearSCADA.
