.*Senior Configuration Manager - Financial Services - 6 Month Contract*
Role: Senior Software Configuration Manager
Location: Halifax
Contract: 6 months
My client a large Banking Group and they are looking for a Senior Software Configuration Manager to join their office in Halifax. Essentially you will be working with project teams for successful delivery of services.
Specific Accountabilities:
Technically leads and delivers Software Development Lifecycle major projects for my client
Produce all SCM project deliverables throughout the project life cycle eg. SCM plan and audits.
Provides input into risk process
Conformance with relevant SOX processes
Delivery of technical capacity planning and performance
Lead the delivery of new software version rollouts including upgrades, currency and patching requirements
Mentors and develops junior team members
Conformance to Industry standard Service Management processes
Provide technical support on a standard hours, callout/standby arrangement based on the needs of the Business.
Ability to translate Business Requirements in to a Solution Design
Adaptability and able to multi -task across numerous projects and issues and deliver all to a satisfactory resolution and/or implementation.
On Call out of hours: 1 in 4 weeks once trained
Role Specific Capabilities/Knowledge:
Good knowledge of and Tool Administration of the Rational Suite of Products
clear case/Clearquest administrator experience
Software Development: Lifecycle experience
Good knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle
Experience of Software Configuration Management Tools with a large organisation (>100 user base) administrator knowledge of Rational Suite of products is essential
Good knowledge of Software Configuration Management processes
Industry Standard Service Management processes
Performing the Software Configuration Manager role
Technical skills: UNIX AIX/LINUXOS, Perl + Shell Scripting, development tool integrations
Good interpersonal skills
Windows and Database admin
Taking ownership of advanced infrastructure tasks or issues Self Starter
Ability to work as part of a team or individually
Ability to challenge as appropriate
Ability to adapt communication to audience
