We're looking for an experienced UI/UX designer who loves to solve complex problems with clean interfaces. We want someone who can transform an idea into a solid user interface by leveraging research-backed ideas and the fundamentals of experience design--all while being mindful of the latest development trends and keeping both the client's goals and the end user in mind. Our new designer will be able to define interaction models, user task flows and UI specifications.Here's a snapshot (but not all) of your responsibilities:
We're going to assume that a person with your experience has handled a sharpie or two in your life, but just to clarify, here are some things we keep in mind when reviewing your application:
Ample experience. What does this mean? While we won't put a requirement on the amount of years, we do want to see your portfolio with UI/UX design, including responsive web design, so make sure to send it to us.
Stunning visuals. You should be able to show how you think in design as it relates to UI/UX and other creative projects. Logo design? Illustrations? Photography? Mood boards or style tiles? Print design? Show us!
Troubleshooting skills. Yeah, we want you to be able to figure it out, whatever "it" is.
Patented process. You should be able to convey how you move from abstract concepts to a final, concrete product.
King or queen of code. While our solid team of devs are the coding experts, the more you understand HTML, CSS and other languages from their world, the better.
Juggling master. You should be able to handle multiple projects and deadlines while also being focused enough to remain committed to those that span multiple months.
People person. We have people skills, damn it! You should too.
Taker of the bull's horns. If you prefer to wait around for someone to spoon-feed you, this isn't the position for you. Go get 'em, tiger.
Start to finish. You can go from brainstorming with the team to delivering thoughtful mock-ups for all digital platforms. You can see a project through to completion, no matter what obstacles stand in your way.
Behold beauty. You understand the importance of keeping the interface beautiful while balancing an intuitive user-experience. You design things that people will gush over.
Be a team player. You must speak perfect English and be willing to meet with our team on a regular basis via Skype at 8:30 Pacific Standard Time
