EveryoneSocial is looking for a Senior Front-End Developer to join our engineering team. As a member of our team, you’ll lead the development and management of our front-end web-app, which is used by tens of thousands of people on a daily basis.As a company, we always try to prioritize quality over quantity, and that extends to our team. Background
The EveryoneSocial application consists of a couple of single-page web-apps written in Backbone.js communicating with a Ruby on Rails backend via a REST API. There is also a Chrome extension built from components of one of the single-page web-apps.
What We’re Looking for:
Strong in object-oriented JavaScript and advanced jQuery manipulation.
Significant experience with Backbone. Our entire codebase is combination of Backbone and jQuery.
We also use SASS (SCSS), Bootstrap, and Handlebars extensively.
You should be comfortable translating designs and wireframes from a designer or the product owner into pixel perfect layouts using Bootstrap.
Eventually, we will be looking to update our Backbone code with a more robust component driven framework. You should have informed opinions regarding the best option: React, Angular 2, Vue etc.
Ideally, you have experience with some of the build tools out there like Webpack or Gulp. Another future project will be migrating away from the Rails asset pipeline to a self-contained front-end build.
