Senior DBA SQLServer
3 month Contract
Location: Madrid
Position Title* Senior DBA SQLServer
Required Period* (Date and total period) ASAP 3 moths (probably extended)
Responsibilities During migration project, the SQLServer Administrator will be responsible for architecture analysis, software installation, monitoring system performance, maintenance tuning, account & password management, capacity planning, documentation, and root cause analysis of database server.
Main Tasks*
Strong expertise in Microsoft Cluster and always ON.
Provide design, support, and administration of SQLServer from 2000 to 2014 releases.
Develop data back-up systems, processes, and procedures
Support Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Planning and Implementation
Installing/migrating SQL in clustered environments
The role will be involved in capacity, DR and risk management
Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
Demonstrate an excellent knowledge in SQL database migration from old versions to SQL 2014
Experience of SSIS, SSRS is essential for the role.
Excellent documentation skills, with the ability to produce concise documentation for either technical or non-technical audiences
Some understanding of virtualization (VMware) and storage (EMC, replication) technologies will be advantageous
Support the development of policies, procedures, and processes for both operations and customer facing operations
SQL Database Administrator with SSIS and SSRS experience
Contrast experience into migration projects.
