Role: Back End Zend PHP Developer
Location: York
Rate: £300 - £350 Daily
Length: 3 months (likelihood for extension)
Start Date: ASAP - can be flexible for the right person
Company: You will work for a well-known and established provider of personal line niche schemes and have been in the business more than 70 years. They recently have won an award for UK customer experience which makes them a standout institution in Yorkshire.

You will be comfortable working in a team as well leading by example, updating others on your work and managing your time effectively to deliver projects to schedule.
The successful candidate for the role of PHP Developer must have the below skills and experience:
- Solid web development experience in a commercial environment
- Solid understanding of MVC and OO PHP development,MySQL, JavaScript, CSS, HTML5, jQuery
- Experience with a PHP framework (Zend 2)
- Commercial experience with version control, in a team environment
- Ability to approach existing code, grasp its purpose and make changes confidently and safely
- Experience commenting code and writing documentation where appropriate
- Knowledge of coding standards and their application
- Understanding of MySQL and relational database design
Beneficial Skills & Experience:
- Experience with LAMP stack architecture, particularly in a cloud environment
- Unit testing experience
- Security conscious approach to development
- Exposure to a continuous integration server
Interviews: These will be taking place early next week. You will be required to take a Skype Call as the only part of the interview stage, which will last for around 1 hour and is technical though fairly informal.
