My client, a major player in the E-commerce industry, has a requirement for an Online Merchandiser to join them in South Dublin.

E-commerce continues to be one of the fastest growing and exciting areas of technology and the consumer audience.

The Merchandising team are looking for an Online Merchandiser to help manage a rapidly expanding segment across all online stores in Europe and/or MEA. The role will focus on formulating and delivering wide strategic merchandising initiatives and form a part of the Merchandising team, reporting to the Merchandising Lead.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Online Merchandiser will work on one of three different teams and be principally responsible for proposing and driving a strategic plan for Online Merchandising across the online stores.

Specific responsibilities of the Merchandiser include:

  • Devising and coordinating the strategy with relevant stakeholders - particularly with the team, the other merchandisers globally and other EMEA Merchandisers.
  • Executing updates within the Global Commerce tool and logging those changes within the TFS ticketing system (per auditor requirements).
  • Analyzing the effect of different initiatives, drawing appropriate conclusions and clearly communicating the results.
  • Reviewing E-commerce landscape for products and making appropriate recommendations for how we could better tailor our pages.
  • Managing and prioritizing multiple projects simultaneously with excellent attention to detail.
  • Supporting the overall site vision and ensuring a quality customer experience while focusing on project goals and delivery dates.
  • Liaison with other merchandisers across EMEA and other regions to learn and share best practices.
  • Providing regular and clear communication to relevant stakeholders as required: the plan, the results, next steps etc.
  • Updating key banner placements on the site: from planning through execution and impact analysis.
  • Implementing and analysing the effect of different sales strategies within the region and comparing with results from other regions.

REQUIRED SKILLS OR EXPERIENCE

  • Self-starter and a proactive problem solver with a drive to achieve results.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • An ability and a desire to look at multiple sources of reporting data and an ability to draw appropriate conclusions.
  • Degree or equivalent experience.
  • A character that exemplifies values including integrity, honesty, openness, personal excellence, constructive self-criticism, continual self-improvement, and mutual respect.

PREFERRED SKILLS OR EXPERIENCE

  • Fluency in a language other than English (French/Spanish/German/Arabic would be particularly useful).
  • Strong computer skills, including a knowledge of HTML, CSS and web content management systems.
  • Experience working with the localization of content.
  • Analytical or mathematical background.
  • Experience working in a global E-commerce web environment or an operations/data centre.
