Description
An experienced f5 contractor with skills in deploying and maintaining enterprise deployments of f5 technologies is required for a 12-month period. The successful candidate will work closely with server, network and security engineers to pre-stage, deploy and migrate services from the current f5 load balancing platform to a new f5 platform providing load balancing, Firewalling and application security to the migrated services. You will also be responsible for the ongoing support of the existing infrastructure and any fault resolution works arising from the pre-stage/migration process in a timely and efficient manner, working to the client's strict change control and service delivery processes.
Technical Skills
Experience in the following F5 products (v11.x or above):
o LTM, AFM, ASM and Big-IQ
Experience with F5 Big-IP Series Platform and the Viprion platform
Experience in writing and troubleshooting iRules.
An understanding of routing and switching protocols as they relate to load balancing (eg STP, BGP, OSPF, TCP, SSL, SNAT, TLS), and application layer protocols including HTTP, SSH, SSL, and DNS. The candidate must have the knowledge and experience to complete configurations on the F5, including OS upgrades, trunking, and general troubleshooting/problem solving of the devices.
Knowledge and experience in the implementation of persistence and SSL certificates.
