Description
UNIX Engineer required by Whitehall Resources for a 4 to 6 month contract based in Hampshire.
Infrastructure Specialist to undertake midrange HPUX infrastructure and Operating System support and administration for Client environments (Development & Production). This role requires excellent skills in HP RP, blade server and virtualisation technologies, including problem solving, new implementation and a working knowledge of HP SAN and Networking technologies. Role is located at Gosport with a requirement to support other sites. SC security clearance is essential with willingness to undergo DV clearance.
Required Skills/Experience:
- 2 or more years' experience of HPUX v3 and Linux server hardware builds. Integration in a clustered Blade server and virtual environment. With exposure to the following:
- Virtual server technologies specifically HPVM & OVM
- Oracle Enterprise Linux (OEL) & HP UX Administration
- HP Server Administration
- Data Protector back up processes
