Description
A global Renewable Energy client is looking for a consultant to work as SCADA Commissioning Engineer to work on their onshore substation. This is expected to be a 14-month freelance contract role to start 4th July 2016 up until approximately 31st August 2017 with the possibility of extending further thereafter. Hours of work will be 5 days per week, 10 hrs. in average. The SCADA Commissioning Engineer must be prepared for some occasional travel to the clients other offices in the UK/EuropeResponsibilities:
- Report to SCADA technical managers stationed on site on quality and execution progress
- To give input to the commissioning time schedule within the site
- The day-to-day management, coordination and documentation of the SCADA commissioning work
- To co-ordinate commissioning activities with SCADA contractors and Electrical installation & commissioning manager
- Ensure that the work is in compliance with the project HSE rules and local legislation
- Sign off and approve SCADA contractor check lists
- Secure quality of commissioning works and documentation
- To report commissioning progress/participate in commissioning meetings
Qualifications:
- Qualified Electrical Engineer
- Previous experience within UK Energy Market
- Experience of SCADA systems
- Experience within the UK construction sector
- Experience of NGET SCADA interface
- NGET BESC/Competent Person
- CSCS/ECITB Qualification required
- Must have all valid relevant GWO certificate
- The Consultants will be required to bring his/her own PC with MS Office 2007 software or newer and mobile telephone.
- The Consultants must have his/her own PPE equipment (Personal Protection Equipment)
