Description
A Global Renewable Energy client is looking for a Senior Authorised Person (SAP) to work on its offshore wind farm project.
The Consultant will be working as Senior Authorised Person and Control Engineer. The individual will provide co-ordination and SAP function up to 400kV during installation, commissioning and initial operation of the windfarm HV system. Our client is looking for the individual to be able to start this role from 1st July 2016 up until approx. 30th June 2018. The hours of work will be 12 hours a day/14 days on and 14 days off duty. Night shifts and work doing the weekends should be anticipated.
Responsibilities:
- For the electrical issues accordingly to the affected Country's legislation and regulation
- Implement a permit system for Electrical safety rules in accordance with the client's electrical safety rules
- Co-ordinate HV/LV commissioning activities through the project construction stages
- Advise operationally on HV electrical installations to WTG, offshore substations and both HV Submarine and onshore cables
- Oversee safe commissioning of grid connections, onshore substations and associated HV/LV plant and equipment
- Oversee all HV/LV electrical operational activities to ensure safety, security and integrity of the HV network as requested
- Contribute to proactive management, good coordination and communication between all parties and that the process works effectively
Qualifications:
- Maximum of 5 years commissioning experience within the field of HV electricity, offshore experience preferable
- Educated to Electrical Engineer or similar
