My client is a Central Government department, looking for a WebOp Engineer to support the development team to ensure continuous delivery capabilities.
The WebOps Engineer needs to be a multidisciplinary expert who have a deep understanding of
- networks, in particular;
Firewalls, load-balancing, high availability, disaster recovery, TCP & UDP services and NOC management. - Plus Cloud hosting (Amazon AWS),
- Plus Development background (Python)
- Plus software pipeline design (Jenkins, artefacts registry)
Candidates should also have experience in PaaS solutions as well as Kubernetes or Mesos experience.
The client are looking to move towards continuous deployment. This role is crucial in supporting them in this quest as they upskill permanent members of staff and mentor the development team. They are offering a six month contract, followed by likely extensions.
Candidates must have excellent experience in Continuous deployment in complex organisations, ideally in assisting the transformation of working practices towards WebOps.
