Description
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer/Information Science or equivalent experience
- 7+ Years of database administration experience managing enterprise level database systems in a production capacity
- Exceptional verbal and written communications and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to work the required non-traditional and on-call shifts
- Teradata Database systems version 14.00, 14.10, 15.00+
- Support of upgrades and patches with accompanying Teradata vendor support
- Backup, Archive and Recovery (BAR) using TARA/DSA and NetBackup
- SQL tuning and optimization
- Experience with UNIX based operating systems (as it pertains to database administration) -
- RedHat Linux, Solaris, AIX, SuSe
- Enterprise level change management processes and procedures
