Leading service company is seeking a Finance Assurance Manager for a 6 month contract to be based in Hook.

As a Finance Assurance Manager you will be responsible for performing finance assurance audits across the two divisions which will include the review of Contracts' financial processes, controls operated in the shared service centre, adequacy of accounting judgements, and assist in Corporate investigations where required. The role provides exposure to our clients varied businesses and engagement with senior stakeholders across the business.

Key Deliverables:

Delivery of the financial controls (GFCM) audit plan with due regard to professional standards. This involves auditing specific contracts and reviewing horizontal processes across the two divisions.

Planning contract visits and ensuring the scope of the assurance review work is clearly communicated and agreed.

Identifying key finance risks and designing appropriate work programmes to address the risks.

Preparation of high quality reports and ensuring that the recommendations are relevant, practical and value-adding.

Monitoring and reporting the status of open finance audit issues agreed action plans.

Communicating financial controls best practice to the business and influencing the business to adopt best practice.

Reviewing transactions to ensure correct IFRS accounting treatment is applied.

Keeping abreast of current and emerging risks and financial reporting standards.

Assisting with other ad hoc group reporting requirements.

To undertake ad-hoc financial investigations, including fraud reviews where required.

The role involves travelling to Contract sites and overnight stays within the UK and in Europe.

Required Qualifications/Experience:

Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA CIMA, CMIIA or equivalent).

At least 3 years' experience in an auditing or financial

Controls environment.

Good understanding of finance processes, risks and controls.

Up to date knowledge of IFRS accounting standards.

Good understanding of finance systems (ideally SAP) and standardised processes.

Good MS Office skills, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Good understanding of business and operational processes and controls

Excellent risk management skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Excellent report writing skills.

Excellent presentation skills.

Excellent influencing skills and high personal impact.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
