For our client in the machine manufacturing industry we are URGENT looking for an Embedded Software Engineer.

Start: ASAP

Duration: 6 months (possible extension)

Location: Venlo, the Netherlands

Language: English & Dutch

Context:

Within the software development team of a high speed printing system we are looking for an Embedded Software Engineer.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

The Embedded software engineer will be required to maintain, extend, and improve the Embedded software of the print system as well as maintaining the build environment for the Embedded software. This includes making releases to the project on a regular basis. Analyse and eventually fix problems in the current TDS systems. As well as integration and testing of these Embedded software changes.

The Embedded software engineer is part of a small software team consisting of 4 people, but he/she has to additionally cooperate with the rest of the multidisciplinary project colleagues.

General skills:

  • Candidate has at least a BSc degree, for example in Software;
  • About 5 years of relevant work experience;
  • Candidate is a fast learner and has good communicational skills;
  • Has profound knowledge (verbal and written) of English and/or Dutch;
  • Has permission to work in the Netherlands, and able to provide, if requested, a certificate of conduct.

Technical and Professional qualification:

  • Profound knowledge and experience of UML (Unified Modelling Language);
  • Knowledge and experience with Real Time Embedded software, software development environments (compiler, linker, makefiles, etc.) in general and RSA-RTE in particular;
  • Knowledge and experience with C/C++, GIT, with reverse engineering, with software development process (integration, testing);
  • Knowledge and experience with machine controlled systems in a production environment;
  • Knowledge and experience with UNIX/HPUX/Linux.
