Pay Rate: m ax £600 per day, target £525 per day
Contract Length: 6 months, possible extension

Experience Required
Essential
Network Design, installation and fault finding
Experience of change management processes
Experience in an enterprise IT related role
Professional skills including excellent customer relationship and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage with and gain the confidence of colleagues at all levels
Technical experience supporting and administering;
Juniper Switches, Juniper and Palo Alto Firewalls and Aerohive Access Points
Encryption solutions: PKI and IPSec
Palo Alto Firewalls, F5 application delivery controllers, load balancing
Desirable
Technical experience supporting and administering; o 2 Factor Authentication Products: Duo, yubikey, radius, LDAP
Familiarity with legislation pertaining to Government/Public Sector IT
JNCIA/JNCIS, F5, Palo Alto Networks certifications
Understanding of virtualisation products

The Networking Engineer works within the Application and Infrastructure team within my clients Digital and Technology team. Working closely with the Service Operations team, you will be maintaining the existing network infrastructure, and carrying out upgrades and problem resolution. You will have the responsibility to create documentation, change management and root cause analysis as well as acting as an escalation point for the Service Desk. Focus on completing tasks to maintain integrity, availability, performance and capacity management of the networking infrastructure Manage escalated Incidents and Problems from the Service Desk through to resolution Carry out change control activities within the networking infrastructure Manage Request for Change forms for internal and supplier change management Understand risk and impact of changes Document and configure management of networking infrastructure Work within technical compliance management to co-operate with technologies, such as PSN CoCo
Description
The delivery of infrastructure solutions, including High and Low level Infrastructure designs & Solution Transition/Delivery plans. To manage stakeholders - Technical SMEs to Senior Business Users to deliver solutions. To identify options, costs, issues and risks for business stakeholders and make recommendations. Translate Business Requirements into Technical Requirements/Designs. To ensure that designs comply with security policy/constraints. Produce design documents that are acceptable to allow service transition and support.
