Editorial Content and Internal Comms Manager - Hampshire - 12 Months - £19 ph
Editorial Content and Internal Comms Manager needed to provide editorial advice to authors and be responsible for carrying out full editorial reviews on all public facing materials - both online and offline, ensuring they are presented in plain language and adhere to style guides. The Editorial Content and Internal Comms Manager will manage a programme of internal communication across various channels to keep members informed of programme and policy developments.
Key Responsibilities:
- To develop, launch and embed an editorial style guide for the programme; this will include regular training sessions on editorial standards and best practice for programme staff.
- To provide copy writing and editing for the programme; and also to oversee all copy writing and editing work for the programme.
- To write new copy for news releases, articles and the website.
- Responsible for the editing of all field staff materials.
- To ensure that all programme publications adhere to relevant, appropriate accessibility standards and meet internal quality standards.
- To develop and implement the internal communications plan, including field staff during the operational period. This includes internal newsletters, site presentations/workshops/seminars and Intranet.
- To conduct an annual internal communications feedback survey.

Essential Skills:
- Continually communicate with staff, helping to clarify goals and activities and the links between these and Departmental strategy
Ensure own area/team activities are aligned to Departmental priorities

Develop and implement effective communication strategies and plans. Work with stakeholders and partners to deliver communication.
- Core communication skills: Demonstrate strong written communication skills. Provide advice and guidance to colleagues on writing clearly for target audiences.
Assess the impact and effectiveness of communication. Review achievement of objectives. Identify lessons learnt and share feedback.
- Internal communications: Assess the effectiveness of internal communication and act on staff feedback to ensure communication is timely, relevant and meets the needs of the business and internal audiences. Explore employee engagement data to understand the context for internal communication, identify challenges and barriers and suggest actions for improvement
