- The QA Tester I - New Products is responsible for loading requirements, writing test cases and linking test cases to test requirements. Responsible for executing test cases and scripts assigned to them by the QA Lead or Supervisor. Performs defect creation of failed test cases and root cause research of failed test cases. May be required to assist in the gathering of requirements and provide requirements analysis. Works with development resources to triage defects they find, and retest defects.
Primary Responsibility:
- Participates on Governed Strategic Projects.
- Executes manual test cases assigned by the QA Lead.
- Identifies expected results and compares to actual output values.
- Creates defect tracking records based on failed test cases.
- Monitors defects and reviews for root cause analysis.
- Communicates with development resources to triage (prioritize) defects they find.
- Monitors bug resolution efforts, re-tests and tracks success and failure.
- Summarizes and documents problems with program function, output, online screen, or content.
- Involved with the continual improvement of test processes to provide improved quality assurance and reduction in testing cycle time.
- May provide back up to the QA Test Lead regarding meeting facilitation and reporting as needed.
Required Skills:
- Three to five years of Facets experience required.
- Healthcare Background
- Claims processing experience preferred.
- Familiarity with MS Windows operating systems
- Basic proficiency in MS Office products
- Excellent time management skills
- Perceived organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with daily work processing deadlines
- Demonstrated customer service orientation
Education:
- Bachelors Degree: in a related field of study with 1-2 years work experience in software development or QA.
