Informatica Consultant - Edinburgh - 6 months
Be-IT is seeking a number of Informatica Consultants to join our client, a global business and technology organisation with a long list of awards to their name.
This position requires creating functional requirements and technical specifications as well as design, support offshore development, support test, document, implement, manage, and maintain solutions utilizing Informatics' technology stack, including Informatica PowerCenter/Data Quality/MDM Tools and Teradata FSDM model. Work along with ETL/Data Analysts and EDW Architects in designing/enhancing ETL architecture. Perform hands on development and mappings using Informatica PowerCenter.
Responsibilities: include full DESIGN/BUILD/TEST SDLC leadership, solution design, and overall Informatica ETL design and development working with a Global Delivery team.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Ability to create high complexity detailed technical design specifications, Develops detailed analysis, design, construction and testing specifications ensuring technical compatibility and integration.
- Recommend, design and code efficient and effective solutions for challenging problems for medium to large work efforts of medium to high complexity.
- Comply with ETL standards and guidelines related to the design, construction, testing, and deployment activities within the Delivery Management environments
- Ability to act as a lead developer responsible for the planning, completion and coordination of work activity for projects involving more than one developer
- Ability to lead walk though of design documents and provide technical leadership over programming team
- Provide guidance and direction to less-seasoned staff
- Execute hands on Informatica Mapping and Development.
- Coordinate with deployment and support resources to ensure the solutions gets implemented smoothly into QA and Production environments.
