A number of skilled PHP developers are required to join an agile progressive team working with Big Data and cutting edge technology. The PHP developer will work in an experienced team on a number of high profile products, developing & maintaining innovative live web applications, web service solutions, management tools and batch processing services.

The company is a forward thinking, progressive organisation that is constantly growing. They provide businesses with a range of data cleansing, tracing and identity verification services and are the UK's foremost provider of consumer data solutions; they are currently looking to recruit mid-snr level PHP developers to join their newest team, advancing their current skill sets and learning new technologies such as ECL and HPCC.

Above all, as a PHP developer joining this team you will need to have a high aptitude and drive, as well as an ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly. Candidates looking to apply for this role must look to constantly update and develop their technical knowledge; responsibilities in this role will be varied however will include
* Work as part of an agile development team
* Develop and maintain web applications, web service solutions, management tools and batch processing services
* Apply the principles of computer science and mathematical analysis to the design, development, testing, and evaluation of the software and systems
* Review and approve the modification of existing databases and database management systems
* To carry out any general day-to-day duties as and when required to ensure the smooth operation of the Company

Our ideal candidate will have an awareness/experience of Scrum/Agile methodologies and a strong ability to troubleshoot issues/make system changes as needed to resolve issues, as well as -
* Strong demonstrable knowledge and experience of PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, MVC and OO.
* Strong knowledge of the full software development life cycle: from business/systems analysis, through requirements gathering and functional specification authoring, to development, testing and delivery
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills
* Past experience working with data & database concepts (ie joining tables, creating indexes etc)
* Experience of development frameworks, ideally Zend and JQuery
* Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross functional groups as required
* Experience/interest of working with a Big Data.

PHP Developer Job Summary -
* Fulltime - Normal working hours
* Salary £27,000 - £45,000 DOE with excellent benefits
* Flexi time with core hours between 7am and 6pm
