3 x NHS Quality Governance opportunities available near Southampton, Hampshire. (3-6 month contract)

The key to these roles are to work in collaboration with corporate and divisional Quality Governance teams, to assist in driving sustainable excellence in safety and quality of care and services. The focus is to support the Trust-wide Quality Governance agenda by monitoring achievements and critically analysing performance against required standards, identifying risks whilst recommending changes for continuous improvement. It is expected that the post holder will be a subject matter expert in the field of Quality Governance and Patient Safety and have an excellent knowledge of the regulatory and statutory requirements of the Care Quality Commission and NHS Improvement.

The Quality Governance Business Partner role will to bring together the corporate and divisional governance teams to ensure the best practice Trust-wide management of systems of;

*Incidents

*Serious incidents

*Organisational Learning

*Complaints and concerns

*Legal Claims

*Risk reporting

*Quality contract requirements inclusive of quality account priorities

*Peer review and assurance of CQC compliance

*Clinical audit and the application of best practice through clinical effectiveness

*NHS Improvement Well-Led Framework

*Governance models for service development.

Although not directly responsible for, the post holder will assist to develop and maintain effective systems for accurately recording, monitoring, and reporting compliance which supports the requirements of regulators, the Trust Executive, local senior managers and external stakeholders. It is key that any governance metric collected must be user friendly and inform and help to engage all levels of staff.

An important aspect of this role is influencing divisional individuals to critique and self-challenge the service which they are providing to service user and patients to improve patient safety as defined by incident reporting.

It is anticipated under the influence and coaching of the Quality Governance Business Partner the Division will experience:

*A reduction of high harm incidents

*An improvement in the quality of investigations

*An increase in learning events which will promote service line improvements and reduce the recurrence of similar serious incidents

*A greater recognition and controls placed against known risks

This role is to start ASAP and will pay between £30 - £35 Ltd/umbrella per hour depending on your level of experience.
