Roc Search's Client is currently recruiting for a Safety Engineer based in Bristol, UK.
Key Requirements:
*Qualified to degree level in an engineering discipline with significant experience in development and justification of safety-related software systems.
*Ability to support external safety adherence audits with Independent Safety Auditor.
*Ability to produce hazard identification and analysis (HIA), Hazard Logs and Safety reports.
*Ability to prepare functional failure analysis to determine hardware and system analysis.
*Understanding of any one of the standards: JSP430, Def Stand or IEC 61508.
Desirable Skills:
*Solid understanding of the requirements of defence projects preferably in the marine environment. Work experience with defence standards, software development standards, and military specifications and Lloyds rules.
*Experience of safety and reliability analyses to support physical and functional hazard assessments, risk reduction, determination of safety requirements and design safety justification.
*Good understanding of: safety controls to ensure safety is inherent in design, an appreciation of human factors, environmental hazards, quality, requirements management, test and acceptance processes.
