Description
The Position:
A Senior OSS Consultant with knowledge of OSS architecture, design and the vendor selection process is required for a mobile operator OSS modernization project.
Candidate requirements:
Relevant master degree (or comparable)
More than 10 years' vendor AND operator experience with OSS architecture and design for telecommunication operators
Excellent knowledge and experience in OSS architecture and design development/specification, including but not limited to:
o Trouble Ticket System
o Workforce Management System
o Planned Maintenance
o Site Access, Change Management
o Fault Management
o Performance Management & Inventory Management System
Excellent knowledge and vast experience of OSS vendor selection methodology
Excellent management consultancy and soft-skills
Excellent English skills (read/write/speak)
The scope of work includes but is not limited to:
Collect and analyze existing OSS solution of a major mobile operator in Southeast-Asia.
Support discussion and agreement with the operator on strategic and architectural guidelines for an OSS modernization project
Specify vendor independent, detailed and comprehensive technical and service requirements for an OSS modernization (brown field) project of a major mobile operator including but not limited to:
o Trouble Ticket System
o Workforce Management System
o Planned Maintenance
o Site Access, Change Management
o Fault Management
o Performance Management & Inventory Management System
Draft the technical and service requirements documentation ready for submission (as RFI/RFP) to potential vendors.
Specify/refine tender evaluation methodology and respective scoring model.
Support workshops and Q&A sessions with vendors.
Evaluate technical proposal for an OSS modernization project from various vendors/bidders
Support creation of a substantiated vendor/bidder shortlist
