Description
Cloud Automation Engineer - London/Surrey - Up to £475 per day.
My client is looking for a strong Cloud Automation/Devops Engineer to architect, design, develop, automate, deploy, scale and manage the cloud based server applications. The location is based in London or Surrey.
What you will be doing:
- Delivery of new services and applications to end users and customers.
- Liase and troubleshoot issues with technical representitives from 3rd parties and customers.
- Debugging of in-house and 3rd party applications.
- Configuration and implementation of Application life cycle tools for development and product teams.
- Design and provision internal automation to improve operation efficiencies.
- Utilise cloud services from AWS and Azure where suitable.
- Capacity planning and trend analysis
Key Experience:
- Experience working with Cloud Applications such as Microsoft Azure
- Experience working as a Devops Engineer/Automation Engineer
- Deliver a number of cloud based solutions
- Building and configuring environments using automation tooling to include continuous deployments, automated testing, upgrades and patching.
- Monitor environments using monitoring tools
- Assist Development teams with debugging and troubleshooting of platform level problems.
- Solid experience working in Agile Scrum environment, sprints and continuous integration
- Infrastructure experience
Technical requirements:
- Cloud design: Hypervisors, VM templates, networks, gateways, Firewalls, site-to-site VPNs, load balancers - Cloud Provisioning.
- Strong Scripting; Python, Perl, Bash
- Ansible & Puppet
- Jenkins and other CI tool
- Linux (CentOS, Redhat or Ubuntu)
- Virtualisation (eg VMWare, Xen) and Cloud hosting
- Git and Git-hosting tools (Gerrit, Gitlab)
- Containers (desirable)
