JOB PURPOSE
The purpose of this assignment is to take a leading role in Dynamics AX2012 R3 developments & work closely with the other developers (.Net) and AX development manager on migration of AX 2012 to custom built Back Office system based on MS SQL and .Net. Participating in the planning/implementation phase moving the system into the cloud (Azure or AWS).
NATURE & SCOPE
The role requires building extensive knowledge of Premier Tax Free and Fintrax business models & business processes. The scope of the work is both within Dynamics AX ERP system and a centralised .NET based Back Office system. This includes enabling standard features available and also developing/extending custom features specific to PTF and Fintrax business where automation and increased efficiency are keywords.
KEY RESULT AREAS
- Build detailed & extensive understanding of PTF & Fintrax end-to-end business models & business processes and how IT solutions contribute to success of the business.
- The consultant will need to be able to work with business users & attend meetings with business stakeholders on understanding business requirements and translating them into technical specifications.
- Ability to apply development best practises to his/her work and be proactive in pointing out areas where those are not applied & improve them.
- Ability to make realistic & extensive estimations on development efforts required based on functional requirements.
- Ability to understand how the different elements of the business interlink and how developments in one area can affect other elements.
- Be accurate & thorough to ensure secure & sustainable code quality.
- Write technical documentation on developments and present developments & functionality to business employees in non-technical way.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Education & Experience
- Must have very strong experience working with Dynamics AX 2009 or later versions.
- Bachelor degree (or equivalent) in IT is required.
