Description
Spring Technology is currently recruiting for a Structural Engineer to join a renowned organisation in Central London on a 4 month initial contract, with potential to extend beyond the initial period. Although this role will be primarily London based, overseas travel may be required with the Structural Engineer required to provide specialist input and design advice on structural engineering works to a wide and varied range of world-wide projects.
Our client requires a Structural Engineer who has experience with design and implementation on small to large sized projects, working alongside project managers and contact centres developing proposals for project based work. As well as time and budget management, you must be able to deliver projects in a timely manner, engaging with clients, stakeholders and sponsors to provide specialist knowledge on a range of projects. You will be liaising with overseas staff and may be required to travel to accommodate the needs of the projects, providing regular reports on progress.
The essential skills needed are:
*Chartered Professional Civil/Structural Engineering qualification - Chartered Engineer registered with the Engineering Council (CEng)
*Corporate member of professional Engineering body ie Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers (MICE) or Member of the Institution of Structural Engineers (MIStructE)
*Proven track record in leading design and construction teams through project management processes
*Knowledge of current Health and Safety legislation as applied in a civil/structural engineering context
*Good interpersonal and communication skills - both written and verbal
*Good financial management skills
*Knowledge of Design Software: AutoCAD, REVIT, Vectorworks, Sketch-up & Photoshop etc., Microsoft Suite: Word, Excel and Project
