An opportunity has arisen for an Actuarial Technician/Trainee to join the Unit Linked team to complete BAU Reporting Valuations. You will be a part-qualified Actuary who has made some progress in the CT exams. Ideal candidates will have previous valuations experience within Financial Services preferably in Life and Pensions and have working MoSes knowledge

You will be both technical and commercial, and your skills and experience will include:

  • Ability to learn quickly and react to quickly changing requirements
  • Ability to work under pressure to tight timescales on a variety of tasks
  • Ability to take ownership of, and solve, new problems
  • Ability to make sound materiality judgements
  • Ability to confidently communicate financial and actuarial issues clearly and succinctly
  • Managing relationships with other key teams in UK&O, Finance and Risk.

We are looking for a high calibre individual with:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Valuation experience
  • Moses knowledge would be beneficial but not essential
  • Highly proficient in using MS Excel
  • Experience of actuarial modelling software
  • Highly effective communication skills, both written and verbal;
  • The ability to organise their time effectively; and
  • The ability to progress and deliver multiple pieces of work concurrently to agreed deadlines.
