Charles River BA -Investment Management-Contract - £/Day

My client is a leading investment management firm based in London. They are currently running a large scale Back Office outsourcing programme as part of its wider business re-structuring strategy. The programme is organised into four distinct project streams, each delivering a separate business function.

They also work on a number of smaller initiatives, outside of the project structures. Most of this work requires business analysis input.

As part of this change programme they are looking for a Charles River Business Analyst to come on board on a 6 month rolling contract paying market rate but typically between £/Day.

This is a key role for my client as this individual will work closely with the Front Office to help implement transition in their Portfolio Management and Dealing function on to a multi-tenanted Charles River environment as part of this wider programme of work.

The business analyst is expected to work with the business to understand, define and document requirements, produce a variety of project documentation/specifications, and interact effectively with all levels of staff across the firm, whether technical, operational or the rest of the business.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:

*Solid and extensive business analysis experience
*Experience working of multi-asset Charles River implementation
*Experience of implementing Charles River workflows, permissioning and set-up across multi-business units globally
*Experience of continuous business improvement in a Front Office environment
*Logical and analytical approach, with the ability to perform structured analysis and solve complex concepts/issues
*Demonstrable accuracy and attention to detail
*Demonstrable knowledge of different project life cycles: waterfall, agile

Key Responsibilities

*To liaise with senior stakeholders within the business and IT
*The ability to work with SMEs to gather the requirements, document them, design changes to business processes and to implement the requirements within the project framework
*The ability to consider business requirements from a company perspective to ensure that they are appropriate and that they are consistent with my client's strategic plans
*Co-ordinate and hold requirements and process definition workshops with the business
oPerform current state analysis
oPerform in depth business analysis
oWrite detailed, accurate business and functional requirements
oAssist in the running of the development team agile practices such as Scrum.
oProduce test cases and perform system testing where required
oAssist with the implementation of any system, process, controls or procedural changes in line with the project deliverables
oManage stakeholder expectations gaining an insight into requirements and priorities
oTo work with the stakeholders on the smooth deployment and adoption of regulatory initiatives
oFacilitate change to BAU procedures
oEnsure all processes and procedures developed and implemented as a part of the project are accurately documented.
oEnsure that the Project Manager is kept informed about the status of assigned projects and tasks
oEnsure an active participation in all appropriate forums, whether internal or external
oEnsure the requirements of Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) are Embedded within the role
oEnsure existing conventions are challenged at all appropriate opportunities, identifying improvements and analysing and documenting them regardless of the ultimate outcome. Ensure nobody 'just does what they always did'.
