Good Experience in Microsoft SQL server production context
Skills required: troubleshooting method, performance analysis, reliable, service oriented
SQL Version:
High availability: Cluster/Log shipping/AlwaysOn
Transactional replication
Reporting services/Analysis services/Integration services
Used to transact-SQL syntax
MySQL or other SQL engine is a plus.
ITIL foundation certification
Infrastructure knowledge:
Networking LAN/WAN/Firewall
Active Directory
Windows Servers (installation/troubleshooting)
Scripting (power Shell, ) is a plus
Linux knowledge is a plus.
Scope:
1) Configuration Management:
Maintain the CMDB for DBA objects.
2) Event Management:
Manage events coming from the SQL server;
Report monitoring issue (missing check, improvements, recurring events).
3) Incident management
First/Second level resolution of SQL incidents;
Coordination with other teams if required
Escalate ticket if required.
4) Change management:
Implement Standard Changes based on SOPs.
Implement Normal Changes
