Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Corporate Management Accountants Officer to work within Central Government on a contract basis. This position is based in London, initially until May 2017 offering up to £230 per day LTD.
Main Duties:
To assist in the monitoring of Service Level Agreements.
Provide financial advice and support to employees, where appropriate
Assist the Head of Management Accounting in the production of monthly management accounts, internal monitoring reports
Calculate and input corporate year-end and month end accruals. Reconcile accounts as required
Assist in budget setting and year end forecasting
Make accounting adjustments to budgets at the end of the financial year in accordance with accounting guidelines and within deadlines.
Assist in the monitoring of headcount and pay costs.
Provide training and support to Budget Holders and Requisitioners.
Assist in setting up cost centres on the system as required
Maintain current list of web users on financial systems/access for reporting
Analysis of data, reconciliation and query discrepancies with relevant parties
Produce all monthly financial information for areas of responsibility accurately and within agreed deadlines for specified areas of work
Ensure financial timetables are met
Assist in drawing up and maintaining policy and procedure in the department
Contribute to the development and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures and internal/external KPIs
Contribute to the development and achievement of SLAs that the CSS holds with the CCGs
The post holder is required to follow all applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in their work and take responsibility for maintaining their personal training in the use of SOPs as part of their annual training and development plan.
Essential Experience:
Educated to degree level or equivalent level of experience of working at a similar level in specialist area
Financial experience including working knowledge of monthly reporting processes.
Use of computerised financial systems, spreadsheets and databases.
Knowledge of IT systems used in Finance.
Experience of using computerised financial systems/excel/word
