Description
One of our government clients located in London is looking for a Senior Network Engineer.
Prime responsibilities are to keep the lights on on a 24x7 basis and implement change
The Senior Network Engineer will report to the Network Service Tower Lead.
All engineers are required to work office hours Mon Fri and also on call on a rota and be available for additional work as reasonably required.
Engineers are required to work collaboratively as part of a team to keep the lights on and implement change as required. The majority of change is required to be implemented out of hours.
Criteria
Senior Network Engineer
- CCNP Level 3 or higher - Mandatory
- Working knowledge of ITIL - Required
- Team management - Desirable
- Implementation of BAU change. - Required
- Creating implementation plans. - Required
- Project implementation. - Required
- Managing and dealing with escalations from Level 2 support - Mandatory

- Team player.
Key Technical Skills
As many of the following as possible:
- Cisco routing and switching (Catalyst and Nexus).
- Cisco Firewalls.
- Palo Alto Firewalls.
- Juniper Security products (UAC, SA).
- Checkpoint Firewalls (R76 and above).
- Gain
- Meru Wireless
- Network Monitoring (Solar winds).
