Video operations specialist
My client is looking to bring in a Video operations specialists who can provide 24/7 support within the Video Operations Centre; monitoring and troubleshooting video services incidents within agreed SLA's. This position is initially a 3month contract with potential extensions based in Newbury
Key Responsibilities:
* Troubleshooting of Video Quality issues end to end, from point of ingest to distribution (to include mobile network and Set top box estate).
* React to alerts and alarms, troubleshooting as necessary within agreed SLA's, escalating to the appropriate resolution team.
* Providing incident management communications
* Using technical knowledge to assist in resolving incidents
* Provide support to the technical engineers during reactive incident situations, configuration, monitoring and troubleshooting.
* Contributing and adhering to processes and procedures
* Interacting with infrastructure support teams, configuration monitoring and troubleshooting.
Skills
* Strong Knowledge of monitoring tools
* Knowledge of TCP/IP and HTTP Protocol
* Knowledge of IP troubleshooting Tools such as Charles and Wireshark
* Knowledge of broadcast distribution systems, MPEG, VOD, CDNs very desirable
* Experience of working in a NOC/VOC environment
