The Fintrax Group is a Financial Services Company that specialises in tax refunds, multi-currency payments, credit card processing and point of sale technologies. We are looking for an experienced .NET Developer to be located in Redhill, Surrey for a 3-month contract position.
JOB PURPOSE
As a .NET Software Developer you will work on the design, development and maintenance of solutions according to business requirements. This role includes working with the different team members of the Front End development team regarding rollout, updates and feature enhancement of the solution. The .NET Software Developer will follow best practices and adhere to coding standards at all times.
This role is undertaken by delivering a consistently high level of service in line with PTF policies and procedures and in keeping with the Company's mission, vision and 5 year strategy.
KEY RESULT AREA
- Analysis, design, development and maintenance of the PTF solutions. End to end progression of all assigned work. Prioritise tasks and show appropriate response/resolution efforts. Taking ownership of all work items and issues- end to end and proactive follow up. Risks and Issues: communcication, management and escalation. Achievement of all tasks milestones that the .NET Developer is responsible for.
- Work closely with the Project Management on related activity for planning, scheduling and product release. Implementation of multiple project components from a technical perspective. Being able to estimate, prioritise and manage multiple tasks. Proactively working with the other team members and manager to solve issues. Making effective time to work on scheduled tasks. Demonstrating a strong understand of a technical environment. Identifying, designing and delivering solutions within system scope.
- Conduct unit and integration testing ensuring that code releases are of high qualilty with adequate error checking and testing. Taking ownership and proactively following up on defect root causes- providing timely updates and report information to management/client when required. Provide and review the status of all work items.
- Perform escalated production support for Front End solutions. Taking ownership of support, follow up and bring to resolution any outstanding issues. Follow internal processes for logging issues. Communicate at all times with all parties involved with regard to status of issues etc. if issue can't be resolved and to escalate to the next escalation contact.
- Research, evaluate and recommend new technologies or development tools.
- Train new and junior team members in product development and methodology.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Education & Experience
Essential
- Must have experience designing and implementing complex enterprise systems
- Must have hands on experience in .NET, C#, SQL Server, ASP.NET, Javascript
- Must have a good and proven knowledge of the .NET framework 2.0-4.5
- Knowledge of and experience using proven software patterns (eg Dependency Injection)
- Must have proven experience creating solid designs using OO techniques and documenting the same
- Bachelor degree (or equivalent) in IT studies is required.
