Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Procurement Advisor to work within Central Government on a contract basis. This position is base in London, initially until February 2017 offering up to £170 per day Ltd.
Main Duties
Working with the Head of eProcurement to develop and manage internal information resources and networks via the Trust Intranet sites and eNews for the Procurement department.
To assist the Head of eProcurement to oversee the development of new information systems and processes in line with our customers and Audit
requirements.
Supporting the eProcurement Officers on new system and process changes in order to create a more efficient and effective way of working. Contribute to and ensure system improvement, including support.
To be responsible for identifying, procuring and planning information which would be especially valuable for the Procurement team or our customers .ie making contact with new suppliers in relation to new eCatalogues and eInvoicing.
The Database and Information Officer must use their expertise to make sure at all time the information they manage is safe, secure and easily accessible by the Procurement team.
To be the Procurement Teams first point of contact regarding any eProcurement and Procurement systems information.
Essential Experience:
Minimum of 3 years Database and Information Management
Detailed experience of a range of multifaceted systems such as Oracle Financials,
Good computerised report, spread sheet production skills
Excellent keyboard skills
Good level of understanding and computer literacy in use of Microsoft office, Excel, Procurement systems eg Oracle Financials, Communicates statutory financial/procurement regulations to nonprocurement people.
Good leadership, team building, and team working skills
Good interpersonal, communication, motivating and influencing skills and use of diplomacy/tact in difficult/complex procurement situations
Good supplier/product knowledge
Educated to degree level/diploma level or equivalent eg
Computer Studies/NVQ IIII IT systems or equivalent experience
