Test Architect will be working on multiple goals/objectives to drive Quality and Testing from Strategy to Execution for customers in the Banking Payments domain.
The Primary responsibilities and tasks will include:
Has provided Technical Leadership and Strategic Direction to the Testing Organization (TO)
Has Formulated & Developed effective Test Architecture per organizational needs
Understanding & defining the end-to-end Test Strategy for Enterprise Business Applications
Deep understanding of applicable test techniques and selecting and recommending the right tools to improve test efficiency and effectiveness
Hands on experience and knowledge in areas of Agile testing, Test Driven Development
Visioning the test automation strategy, reviewing customer test automation tools and strategy, ability to define test automation roadmap and the test automation standards within customer delivery area
Articulating and defining the content for strong customer presentations
Has been involved in driving organization-wide Quality Process initiatives and their implementation to ensure Quality of deliverables
Has been involved in understanding Business requirements and worked with the development architect to translate requirements into solution architecture designs.
Reviewed requirements participated in design reviews. Also helps incorporate Testability requirements into design
Has influenced Technical direction and use of technologies after making necessary evaluations
Has maintained a big and complete picture view of the software programs/projects, its dependencies, organizational goals, technology arena, etc. and helps guide & direct the functioning of the TO appropriately
Additional Key skills:
Extensive Technical skills covering Oracle databases, Technologies and Competitive knowledge
Knowledge of current industry wide Quality & Test processes and practices, Tools and techniques
Excellent communication skills - within and outside of the TO, across teams, with customers - both horizontally and vertically, is important.
Effective negotiation skills are very important too.
Ability to strategize and look ahead and at the big picture
Software Analysis & Design knowledge/experience is needed while also having a solid background in Software Quality & Testing.
Must have hands-on experience having performed both functional and non-functional testing and be able to review requirements, design and even code as needed
Experience in working with global delivery models, leveraging cross location distributed teams
Experience in Banking Payments domain is an added advantage
Understand customer testing needs - current processess, landscape as well as requirements around Testing from the Database Migration perspective
Test Solution architecting and Solutioning on behalf of Oracle with client stakeholders
Understanding the scope, sizing/estimating testing phases, solutioning and defining approach, finalizing presentation content
Provide Technical Leadership and Strategic Direction to the Testing Organization (TO)
Is responsible for Test Strategy formulation for all 300+ Applications to be migrated along with the 3 Oracle databases to be migrated from 9i to 12.c.2 latest version
Is the foremost Technical Authority and is responsible for the overall Quality of deliverables across all parameters, both functional and non-functional including performance, usability, etc.
Is responsible for ensuring Test Preparedeness, identification of Test Automation Suites and areas where it lacks to recommend implementation of critical Business scenarios for Test Automation.
