Senior DevOps Engineer - Openstack, Linux, Python, Docker, CI-CD
Senior Developer (DevOps) required for a leading Systems business to help create a new system management infrastructure to be used across the businesses cluster, analytics and storage product lines.
You will be required to design, implement, test and maintenance of enhancements to the OpenStack System Management solution.
It's imperative you have written or modified Openstack, or a similar platform software.
You will have worked in multiple Openstack environments or similar, with experience programming in Python and configuring with Ansible.
Ideally you come from a development background, with a solid understanding of software engineering principles and a demonstrated knowledge of the full development life cycle.
Technical requirements
- Linux/Unix systems experience
- Python experience
- Experience deploying, using or contributing to the OpenStack environment and OpenStack projects such as Keystone, Nova, Swift, Cinder, Neutron, Ceilometer, etc.
- Understanding of and practical experience with the principles of designing and building production quality REST APIs.
- Container knowledge (Docker)
- Experience developing reliable, fault tolerant software for large scale distributed systems
- Experience with messaging solutions (eg, ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ, ZeroMQ) highly desired.
