Description

Sopra Steria Recruitment is working in partnership with a major public sector client in the UK. We are currently recruiting a Finance Assurance Manager for an initially 8 month contract based in Birmingham.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain up to date finance records for the project.
  • Ensure Projects are set up correctly on Oracle and invoicing is correctly coded.
  • Provide profile reports for spend and report monthly to Regional Board on forecast against profile.
  • Advising on VAT.
  • Advising on Business cases used for Investment Decision.
  • Ensure all reports meet financial requirements.
  • Advise Asset Delivery project team on approval and assurance requirements for decision making.
  • Ensure that costs associated with setting up the project are reasonable and has appropriate approvals in place in a timely manner to keep to the tight programme deadlines.
  • Ensure that the financial model for Asset Delivery - informing the tenders and wider business case are based upon sound financial information.
  • Ability to grasp the realities and complexities of the business and understand the implications of applying specialist knowledge.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Understanding Management and Financial Accounts.
  • An understanding of VAT
