Within the Core department of our client, the IP service manages the various systems that allow Internet end users to have a range of services.
Besides access itself, messaging, accommodation, management of domain names, to name a few, are part of these services.
We are looking for an engineer who will study for this technology.
The main tasks will be:
- Reflect on DOCSIS designs in our access to short systems, medium and long terms.
- Implement new features. The study, test and document so that operations teams can manage.
- Ensure support for DOCSIS operation teams. Monitoring complexes tickets from the manufacturer.
- Work closely with the Cable Modem Manager to optimize CMTS/Cablemodem configuration. Ensure bilateral redundancy.
Required technical skills
- You hold an industrial engineering degree or equivalent.
- You have a minimum of 5 years experience in the Telecom industry, Cable.
- You are familiar with Cisco technologies. (Desired Certifications)
- Have knowledge or DOCSIS you be willing to learn and take courses.
- You have the ability to document and explain your solutions.
- You have organizational and planning abilities.
- You are autonomous, entrepreneur and able to get by and take initiatives in a complex organization.

- Use a spectrum analysis

- Networking (Quagga, NHRP, GRE, NAT...)

- Compiling, cross compiling Kernel and drivers

- Good knowledge IPv6 (flags in RA, stateless, stateful, temporary address...)
- CSR1000v (Configure and manage as a DM-VPN concentrator)
- Juniper
- Able to configure in a lab MPLS pseudo-wire from CMTS to a juniper MX
- Virtualization
- VMware ESXi (Manage VMs, configure vswitch)
- QEMU (Configure VMs)
- DOCSIS
- DOCSIS 3.0, debug and configure a Cisco CMTS (uBR and CBR)
- Use traffic generator (ByteBlower from Excentis)
